Take Time for Yourself

Kuch pal sukoon ke liye bhi dund,

Yeh Zindagi toh bhagti hi rhegi..đź’«

Do you ever find yourself longing for some time for yourself? Many of us are so busy with work, school, and home life that often there is no time left over to do something that you enjoy.

“Nourishing yourself in a way that helps you blossom in the direction you want to go is attainable, and you are worth the effort. ” – Deborah Day

Obviously, the biggest reason to take a little time out for yourself is to avoid the negative consequences of not doing so.But more than that, “me” time can make you a better person both inside and out.

“Our soul is like a soft and gentle flower, it needs to be nurtured, cared for, tended to, with sufficient sunlight, fresh air and freedom to bloom into its most precious and beautiful form” — Miya Yamanouchi

The lack of time to yourself can cause you to build up resentments that can harm both you and your relationships. When you spend all your time filling other people’s cups, it’s likely yours will run empty. Sometimes, especially when we’re tired, we may become angry about giving so much.

Taking this “me” time can be as simple as sitting on the deck, reading a book, writing, watching the sun come up with a hot cup of coffee/tea(whatever you prefer as I prefer Tea during my “me time”) and doing all those stuffs/things which make you happy and peaceful.

Taking a little time for yourself refreshes and re-energizes you. It allows you to think more clearly and make better decisions. It helps yourself to find the answers of your life.

“An empty lantern provides no light. Self-care is the fuel that allows your light to shine brightly.”
